Well I know I said there'd be more posts now that I'm done with school but between the kid and getting the final pieces of the car done there hasn't been much time. However, the car is finally driving! It's pretty nice... Torque spews from the engine and reminds me I need new tires. I'll post pictures and what I've learned during these past few weeks of fixing things.
Hey... just discovered your blog. Nice work on your C3. I have a similar project/blog going, but just starting out. You still working on the car/blog?
ReplyDeleteHi, thanks!
DeleteI worked really hard to get the car into good enough shape that it could be used. I also take things a bit further though (thus the bigger engine, suspension, etc.). After my son was born last year I really was just trying to get it to a usable point, which I did. There's still a lot of work to do on it, but it's mostly minor things.
We just finished building a new house that has a 6.5 stall garage so I'm excited to make use of it. My wife is excited I'm no longer using all the garage for something she thinks is somewhat of a waste of money (when she's riding in it the tune is different). I've got about 1600 miles on what's rebuilt, so it's time to swap some fluids out.
I'll be interested to see what you end up doing on your car. I always like to see what other people come up with. These cars (as well as old Camaros and Mustangs) have so many options for things that can be done to them.
Good luck with your build. I hope to hear from you again! I'll try to get back into posting now that I'm getting settled into the new house.
Sounds good... I'm following along!
